WASP-103 and Its Lone Known Planet

WASP-103 is a star 1230 light-years away with a mass of 1.2 solar masses, a radius of 1.72 solar radii, and a temperature of 6010 K. Its spectral type is F8 V, and it is 5.2 billion years old. One planet is known to orbit this host.

That planet is WASP-103 b, a Jupiter-like world discovered by transit in 2014. It has a mass of 474 Earth masses and a radius of 17.1 Earth radii, and it completes an orbit every 0.926 days. Its mean density is 0.519 g/cm³.

WASP-103 b's mass is roughly 1.49 times Jupiter's mass. Its radius is larger than Earth's, and so is its mass. Its density is 0.0943 times Earth's.
