TOI-921 b: A Neptune-Like World in a Distant System

TOI-921 is a star located 959 light-years away, with a mass of 1.13 solar masses and a radius of 1.14 solar radii. Its reported radius estimate is larger than the Sun's, and its temperature of 6060 K is hotter than the Sun's. One planet orbits this host.

That planet, TOI-921 b, is a Neptune-like world discovered by transit in 2026. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. TOI-921 b completes an orbit every 5.13 days and has a radius of 3.53 Earth radii, larger than Earth's. As a Neptune-like planet, its size class reaches up to four times Earth's radius.
