TOI-908 b: A Neptune-Like World Around a Sun-Like Star

TOI-908 is a G V star, a Sun-like main-sequence dwarf, located 573 light-years away. It has a mass of 0.95 solar masses, a radius of 1.03 solar radii, a temperature of 5630 K, and an age of 4.6 billion years. The star's reported mass estimate is smaller than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is cooler than the Sun's. One planet is known to orbit this host.

That planet is TOI-908 b, a Neptune-like world discovered by the transit method in 2023. It has a mass of 16.1 Earth masses, a radius of 3.19 Earth radii, and an orbital period of 3.18 days. Its reported radius estimate is larger than Earth's, and its reported mass estimate is also larger than Earth's. The planet's mean density is 2.75 g/cm³, which is 0.499 times Earth's.
