TOI-7041 and Its Jupiter-Like Planet

TOI-7041 is a star 1430 light-years away with one known planet. The star is 10.3 billion years old and has a mass of 1.07 solar masses and a radius of 4.1 solar radii, making its reported mass and radius estimates larger than the Sun's. Its temperature of 4700 K is cooler than the Sun's.

The planet TOI-7041 b was discovered in 2025 by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. It is classified as Jupiter-like, a size class for planets exceeding 4 times Earth's radius. TOI-7041 b has an orbital period of 9.69 days, a radius of 11.4 Earth radii, and a mass of 114 Earth masses, both larger than Earth's corresponding values. Its mean density is 0.422 g/cm³, 0.0766 times Earth's.
