TOI-6695: A Distant Star With Two Known Planets

TOI-6695 is a star 922 light-years away, with a spectral type running from F5V to G0V. Its mass is 1.34 solar masses, its radius is 1.52 solar radii, its temperature is 6400 K, and its age is 2.1 billion years. The star's reported mass estimate is larger than the Sun's, its reported radius estimate is larger than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is hotter than the Sun's. Two planets are known to orbit this host.

TOI-6695 b was found by the transit method in 2025. Its radius is 9.53 Earth radii, and its mass is 66.7 Earth masses. Both figures are larger than Earth's. Its mean density is 0.425 g/cm³, or 0.0772 times Earth's. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, producing a small dip in observed brightness; repeated dips help establish orbital periods. TOI-6695 b takes 80.4 days to complete one orbit.

TOI-6695 c was discovered by radial velocity in 2025, the same year as TOI-6695 b. The radial velocity method measures the wobble a planet's gravity induces in its star's motion, and repeated wobbles reveal both the planet and its orbital period. TOI-6695 c has a minimum mass of 461 Earth masses, a lower bound on its true mass that is larger than Earth's and roughly 1.45 times Jupiter's mass. Its orbital period is 242 days.

Because a planet's orbital period is its year, TOI-6695 b has the shortest year among the listed planets, at 80.4 days, while TOI-6695 c has the longest, at 242 days.
