TOI-6130 b: A Giant Planet in a Close Orbit

TOI-6130 is a single star system 720 light-years away, orbited by one known planet. The host star is an F-type star with an age of 0.3 billion years, a mass of 1.31 solar masses, a radius of 1.51 solar radii, and a temperature of 6110 K. Its mass and radius are larger than the Sun's, and it is hotter than the Sun as well.

The system's only known planet is TOI-6130 b, a Jupiter-like world discovered by transit in 2024. With a radius of 14.3 Earth radii, it is far larger than Earth. Its mass is 334 Earth masses, also greater than Earth's, and its mean density is 0.623 g/cm³, 0.113 times Earth's. TOI-6130 b circles its star every 2.39 days.
