TOI-6034 and Its Jupiter-Like Planet

TOI-6034 is a star 385 light-years away with one known planet in orbit. The host star is estimated to be 7.8 billion years old, with a mass of 0.514 solar masses and a radius of 0.489 solar radii. Its temperature is 3640 K. The star's reported mass and radius estimates are smaller than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is cooler than the Sun's.

The system's only known planet is TOI-6034 b, a Jupiter-like world discovered by transit in 2024. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness; repeated dips help establish orbital periods. TOI-6034 b orbits every 2.58 days. Its mass is 254 Earth masses and its radius is 11.9 Earth radii, both larger than Earth's. The planet's mean density is 0.826 g/cm³, 0.15 times Earth's.
