TOI-5799: A Nearby Red Dwarf With Two Super-Earths

TOI-5799 is an M2 V star, a small, cool red dwarf, lying 90.7 light-years away. It is 7 billion years old, with a mass of 0.337 solar masses and a radius of 0.328 solar radii, and its temperature of 3510 K is cooler than the Sun's. Its mass and radius are both smaller than the Sun's. Two planets are known to orbit this star, both discovered by transit: the repeated dips in observed brightness when each planet passes in front of the star from our viewpoint.

TOI-5799 b is a Super-Earth, a size class covering planets whose radius reaches 2.5 times Earth's, discovered in 2024. It orbits every 4.16 days and has a radius of 1.73 Earth radii, larger than Earth's. Among the listed planets it has the shortest year and the smallest radius. TOI-5799 c, also a Super-Earth, was discovered in 2025. It orbits every 14 days and has a radius of 1.76 Earth radii, larger than Earth's. Among the listed planets it has the longest year and the largest radius.
