TOI-5704 b: A Neptune-Like World Around a Cool Dwarf Star

TOI-5704 is a star located 292 light-years away, and it hosts one known planet. The star itself has a reported mass estimate of 0.73 solar masses and a radius estimate of 0.758 solar radii, both smaller than the Sun's. Its temperature is 4590 K, cooler than the Sun's.

The planet, TOI-5704 b, is classified as Neptune-like and was discovered in 2023 by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. Its radius is 3.23 Earth radii, larger than Earth's. This places it within the Neptune-like size class, which extends to 4 times Earth's radius. TOI-5704 b completes one orbit every 3.77 days.
