TOI-5678 b: A Jupiter-like Planet Around a Sun-like Star

TOI-5678 is a G7 V star located 539 light-years away. Its spectral type marks it as a main-sequence dwarf, and it is cooler than the Sun at a temperature of 5490 K. The star's mass is 0.905 solar masses, smaller than the Sun's, and its radius of 0.938 solar radii is likewise smaller. It is an aging star, with an age of 8.5 billion years.

One planet orbits this host: TOI-5678 b, a Jupiter-like world discovered by transit in 2023. Its radius of 4.91 Earth radii exceeds Earth's, placing it among planets larger than four Earth radii. Its mass of 20 Earth masses is also larger than Earth's. The planet completes an orbit in 47.7 days. Its mean density is 0.931 g/cm³, 0.169 times Earth's.
