TOI-5532: A Cool Star With a Close-In Neptune-Like Planet

TOI-5532 is a star located 297 light-years away. Its mass is 0.636 solar masses and its radius is 0.662 solar radii, both smaller than the Sun's. Its temperature is 3980 K, cooler than the Sun's. The star is known to host one planet, TOI-5532 b, discovered in 2026 by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness.

TOI-5532 b is a Neptune-like planet, a size class that reaches 4 times Earth's radius. Its radius is 2.53 Earth radii, larger than Earth's. It completes one orbit, its year, in 5.65 days.
