TOI-4479 is an M3.0 spectral type star, a small, cool red dwarf, located 263 light-years away. Its reported mass estimate is 0.452 solar masses and its reported radius estimate is 0.451 solar radii, both smaller than the Sun's. With a temperature of 3400 K, it is cooler than the Sun. One planet is known to orbit this star.
TOI-4479 b is a Neptune-like planet discovered by the transit method in 2022, when it passed in front of its star from our viewpoint and caused a small dip in observed brightness. It completes one orbit in 1.16 days. Its radius of 2.82 Earth radii is larger than Earth's, placing it within the Neptune-like size class, which reaches 4 times Earth's radius.
