TOI-4184 is an M-type dwarf lying 226 light-years away, with a spectral type of M5.5+/-0.5. The star is 6.7 billion years old, with a mass of 0.211 solar masses and a radius of 0.235 solar radii. Its temperature is 3240 K, cooler than the Sun's, and both its mass and radius are smaller than the Sun's. One planet is known to orbit this host.
That planet, TOI-4184 b, was discovered in 2023 by the transit method, in which a planet passing in front of its star from our viewpoint causes a small dip in observed brightness. Its radius is 2.43 Earth radii, larger than Earth's, placing it in the Super-Earth size class. It completes an orbit every 4.9 days.
