TOI-3362 and Its Jupiter-Like Planet

TOI-3362 is a star 1200 light-years away with one known planet. The star is 2.14 billion years old, has a mass of 1.45 solar masses, a radius of 1.83 solar radii, and a temperature of 6530 K. Its reported mass and radius estimates are larger than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is hotter than the Sun's.

The planet TOI-3362 b is a Jupiter-like world discovered by transit in 2021. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. TOI-3362 b has a mass of 1600 Earth masses, roughly 5.03 times Jupiter's mass, and a radius of 12.8 Earth radii, both larger than Earth's. Its mean density is 4.2 g/cm³, 0.762 times Earth's. It completes an orbit every 18.1 days.
