TOI-3321 b: A Jupiter-Like World Around a Star

TOI-3321 is a star 932 light-years from Earth with 1.04 solar masses, 1.55 solar radii, and a temperature of 5850 K. Its age is 8.1 billion years. The star's reported radius estimate is larger than the Sun's. One planet is known to orbit this host.

That planet is TOI-3321 b, a Jupiter-like world discovered in 2024 by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. It completes one orbit every 3.65 days. Its radius is 15.6 Earth radii, larger than Earth's, and its mass is 176 Earth masses, also larger than Earth's.

Planet size classes compare radius with Earth's: a Jupiter-like planet exceeds 4 times Earth's radius, as TOI-3321 b does. Its mean density is 0.258 g/cm³, 0.0468 times Earth's.
