TOI-3135 and Its Jupiter-Like Planet

TOI-3135 is a star 723 light-years away with a mass of 1.04 solar masses, a radius of 0.985 solar radii, a temperature of 5890 K, and an age of 1.8 billion years. One planet is known to orbit it.

That planet, TOI-3135 b, was discovered by transit in 2025. It is a Jupiter-like planet, meaning its radius exceeds four times Earth's radius. Its radius is 13.7 Earth radii and its mass is 327 Earth masses, both larger than Earth's corresponding values. Its mean density is 0.709 g/cm³, which is 0.129 times Earth's. TOI-3135 b completes an orbit in 3.71 days.

A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, dimming the observed brightness.
