TOI-2368 b: A Jupiter-Like World in a Distant System

TOI-2368 is a star 688 light-years away with one known planet. The star has an age of 4.2 billion years, a mass of 0.897 solar masses, a radius of 0.846 solar radii, and a temperature of 5360 K.

The planet TOI-2368 b was discovered in 2024 by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. It is classified as Jupiter-like, meaning its radius exceeds 4 times Earth's radius. Its radius is 10.8 Earth radii, its mass is 207 Earth masses, and its orbital period is 5.18 days. Its mean density is 0.894 g/cm³, 0.162 times Earth's. The star's reported mass and radius estimates are smaller than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is cooler than the Sun's.
