TOI-1807 and Its Earth-Like Planet

TOI-1807 is a star 139 light-years from us with a single known planet in its system. The star is 0.18 billion years old, holds 0.75 solar masses, spans 0.68 solar radii, and has a temperature of 4760 K. Its mass and radius are smaller than the Sun's, and it is cooler than the Sun.

The one planet is TOI-1807 b, classified as Earth-like and found by transit in 2021. A transit occurs when a planet crosses in front of its star from our viewpoint, dimming the observed brightness; repeated dips help establish the orbital period. That period is just 0.549 days. The planet's radius is 1.5 Earth radii, larger than Earth's, and its mass is 2.44 Earth masses, also larger than Earth's. Its mean density is 4.01 g/cm³, 0.728 times Earth's.
