TOI-1694 and Its Two Known Planets

TOI-1694 is a K-type main-sequence star 407 light-years away, with two planets in orbit. The star is a K2 V to K3 V dwarf with an age of 7.8 billion years, a mass of 0.828 solar masses, a radius of 0.812 solar radii, and a temperature of 5010 K. Its mass and radius are smaller than the Sun's, and its temperature is cooler.

TOI-1694 b is a Jupiter-like planet discovered by transit in 2023. It completes an orbit in 3.77 days, has a mass of 28.2 Earth masses, and a radius of 5.27 Earth radii. Both its mass and radius are larger than Earth's, and its mean density is 1.06 g/cm³, 0.193 times Earth's. Among the listed planets, TOI-1694 b has the shortest year by reported estimates.

TOI-1694 c was discovered by radial velocity in 2023, the method that measures the wobble a planet's gravity induces in its star's motion. Its minimum mass is 317 Earth masses, a lower bound on its true mass, and its orbital period is 386 days. That minimum mass is larger than Earth's, and among the listed planets TOI-1694 c has the longest year by reported estimates.
