TOI-1634 and Its Two Known Planets

TOI-1634 is an M2 star located 115 light-years away, with a mass of 0.502 solar masses, a radius of 0.45 solar radii, and a temperature of 3550 K. The star's reported mass and radius estimates are smaller than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is cooler than the Sun's. Two planets are known to orbit this host.

TOI-1634 b is a Super-Earth discovered by the transit method in 2021. Its radius of 1.76 Earth radii is larger than Earth's, and its mass of 4.9 Earth masses is also larger than Earth's. Its mean density is 4.96 g/cm³, 0.9 times Earth's. Among the listed planets, TOI-1634 b has the shortest year by reported estimates, just 0.989 days. TOI-1634 c was discovered by the radial velocity method in 2022, which measures the wobble a planet's gravity induces in its star's motion. It has an orbital period of 103 days, the longest year among the listed planets by reported estimates.
