TOI-1468: A Cool Red Dwarf with Two Known Planets

TOI-1468 is an M3.0 V star, a small, cool red dwarf, located 80.7 light-years away. Its mass is 0.339 solar masses, its radius is 0.344 solar radii, and its temperature is 3500 K. Two planets are known to orbit this star, both discovered in 2022 by the transit method, which detects the small dip in a star's brightness when a planet passes in front of it.

TOI-1468 b is an Earth-like planet with a mass of 3.04 Earth masses, a radius of 1.4 Earth radii, and an orbital period of 1.88 days. Its mean density is 6.09 g/cm³, 1.11 times Earth's. TOI-1468 c is a Super-Earth with an mass of 4.1 Earth masses, an radius of 2.13 Earth radii, and an orbital period of 15.5 days. Its mean density is 2.35 g/cm³, 0.427 times Earth's.

Both planets are larger and more massive than Earth. Among the listed planets, TOI-1468 b has the shortest year and the smallest radius and reported mass, while TOI-1468 c has the longest year and the largest radius and reported mass.
