TOI-1410 and Its Two Known Planets

TOI-1410 is a star 237 light-years away with an age of 6.6 billion years, a mass of 0.794 solar masses, and a radius of 0.756 solar radii. Its reported temperature is 4640 K. Two planets are known to orbit this host.

TOI-1410 c was discovered in 2024 using the radial velocity method, which measures the wobble a planet's gravity induces in its star's motion. It has a minimum mass of 27 Earth masses and an orbital period of 47.6 days, the longest among the listed planets. Its minimum mass is larger than Earth's.

TOI-1410.01 was also discovered in 2024, by the transit method, which detects the small dip in a star's brightness when a planet crosses in front of it. This Neptune-like planet has a mass of 12.5 Earth masses, a radius of 3.1 Earth radii, and an orbital period of 1.22 days, the shortest among the listed planets. Both its mass and radius are larger than Earth's, and its mean density is 2.31 g/cm³.
