TOI-1333 and Its Jupiter-Like Planet

TOI-1333 is a star 654 light-years away with one known planet, TOI-1333 b. The star is 2.33 billion years old and has a mass of 1.46 solar masses, a radius of 1.93 solar radii, and a temperature of 6270 K. Its mass and radius are larger than the Sun's, and its temperature is hotter than the Sun's.

TOI-1333 b was found in 2021 by the transit method, which detects the small dip in a star's brightness when a planet crosses in front of it. Repeated dips help establish the planet's orbital period. TOI-1333 b is a Jupiter-like planet with an orbital period of 4.72 days, a radius of 15.6 Earth radii, and a mass of 753 Earth masses. Its radius and mass are larger than Earth's, and its mass is roughly 2.37 times Jupiter's mass. Its mean density is 1.08 g/cm³, 0.197 times Earth's.
