TOI-519: A Small Red Dwarf and Its Jupiter-Like Planet

TOI-519 is an M V star, a small, cool red dwarf, located 377 light-years away. Its reported mass estimate is 0.335 solar masses, its radius estimate is 0.35 solar radii, and its temperature is 3320 K. The star is 5.4 billion years old, and its reported mass, radius, and temperature estimates are each smaller or cooler than the Sun's.

One planet orbits this host. TOI-519 b was discovered by transit in 2021. This Jupiter-like planet has an orbital period of 1.27 days, a radius of 11.5 Earth radii, and a mass of 147 Earth masses. Both its reported radius and mass estimates are larger than Earth's. TOI-519 b's mean density is 0.527 g/cm³, 0.0956 times Earth's.
