OGLE-TR-132 and Its Jupiter-Like Planet

OGLE-TR-132 is a star 6560 light-years away with a spectral type of F5 V, a main-sequence dwarf. Its mass is 1.31 solar masses, its radius is 1.32 solar radii, and its temperature is 6210 K, all estimates larger or hotter than the Sun's corresponding values. The star's age is 1.2 billion years. One planet orbits this host.

That planet is OGLE-TR-132 b, a Jupiter-like world discovered by transit in 2004, meaning it was found through the small dip in starlight it causes as it crosses in front of its star. Its mass is 375 Earth masses, and its radius is 13.5 Earth radii, both larger than Earth's. Its mass is roughly 1.18 times Jupiter's mass. Its orbital period is 1.69 days, and its mean density is 0.849 g/cm³, 0.154 times Earth's.
