OGLE-TR-10 and Its Jupiter-Like Planet

OGLE-TR-10 is a star 4390 light-years away with a spectral type of G2 V, a Sun-like classification. It is 3.1 billion years old, has 1.28 solar masses, and has a radius of 1.52 solar radii. Its temperature is 6080 K. Its reported mass estimate is larger than the Sun's, its reported radius estimate is larger than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is hotter than the Sun's. One planet orbits this host.

That planet is OGLE-TR-10 b, a Jupiter-like world discovered by the transit method in 2004. Its mass is 197 Earth masses, and its radius is 14 Earth radii. Both its reported mass estimate and its reported radius estimate are larger than Earth's. Its mean density is 0.395 g/cm³, 0.0716 times Earth's. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. OGLE-TR-10 b completes an orbit every 3.1 days.
