NGTS-13 is a star 2110 light-years away with one known planet. The host star is 4.23 billion years old, has a mass of 1.3 solar masses and a radius of 1.79 solar radii, and a temperature of 5820 K. Its mass and radius are both larger than the Sun's.
The planet NGTS-13 b was discovered in 2021 by the transit method, which detects the small dip in a star's brightness when a planet passes in front of it. It is a Jupiter-like planet, a class defined by radius rather than composition, with a radius of 12.8 Earth radii, larger than Earth's. Its mass of 1540 Earth masses is larger than Earth's and roughly 4.84 times Jupiter's mass. It orbits every 4.12 days, and its mean density is 4.04 g/cm³, 0.733 times Earth's.
