Kepler-945 and Its Neptune-Like Planet

Kepler-945 is a single star located 5390 light-years away. It is 4.47 billion years old and has a mass of 0.97 solar masses and a radius of 0.97 solar radii. Its temperature is 5720 K. One planet orbits this host.

That planet is Kepler-945 b, a Neptune-like world discovered by transit in 2016. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. Kepler-945 b completes an orbit every 31 days and has a radius of 2.63 Earth radii, a reported estimate larger than Earth's. In size classification, a Neptune-like planet reaches four times Earth's radius.
