Kepler-868 and Its Super-Earth

Kepler-868 is a star 5200 light-years away with an age of 3.89 billion years. Its mass is 0.93 solar masses and its radius is 0.89 solar radii, both smaller than the Sun's, and its temperature of 5610 K is cooler than the Sun's. One planet orbits this star, a Super-Earth detected by transit in 2016.

Kepler-868 b has an orbital period of 5.03 days and a radius of 2.05 Earth radii, larger than Earth's. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness.
