Kepler-772 and Its Super-Earth

Kepler-772 is a star located 3690 light-years away. It has one planet. The star is 8.13 billion years old and has a mass of 0.98 solar masses, a radius of 1.11 solar radii, and a temperature of 5710 K.

The planet is Kepler-772 b, a Super-Earth discovered in 2016 by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. Kepler-772 b orbits every 13 days and has a radius of 1.82 Earth radii. This radius estimate is larger than Earth's.
