Kepler-745 and Its Lone Known Planet

Kepler-745 is a star located 5810 light-years away. It has a mass of 1.04 solar masses and a radius of 1.04 solar radii, and its temperature is 5850 K. The star is 4.07 billion years old. One planet has been found orbiting this host.

That planet is Kepler-745 b, a Super-Earth discovered by the transit method in 2016. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. Kepler-745 b orbits its star once every 9.93 days, and its radius is 2.16 Earth radii, which is larger than Earth's. Earth radii compare radius, not volume, and the Super-Earth class reaches 2.5 times Earth's radius.
