Kepler-715 and Its Neptune-Like Planet

Kepler-715 is a star located 4330 light-years away, and it hosts one known planet. The star is 3.98 billion years old, has a mass of 1.04 solar masses, a radius of 1.04 solar radii, and a temperature of 5870 K, which is hotter than the Sun's.

The planet, Kepler-715 b, was discovered in 2016 using the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. It orbits every 10 days and has a radius of 3.75 Earth radii, larger than Earth's. That radius places it among the Neptune-like planets, a size class reaching up to 4 times Earth's radius.
