Kepler-695 and Its Jupiter-Like Planet

Kepler-695 is a star located 2750 light-years away. It is 4.47 billion years old and has a mass of 0.84 solar masses, a radius of 0.8 solar radii, and a temperature of 5180 K. Its reported mass and radius estimates are smaller than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is cooler than the Sun's. One planet orbits this host: Kepler-695 b.

Kepler-695 b was discovered in 2016 by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. Repeated dips help establish orbital periods. The planet completes an orbit every 3.04 days. It is a Jupiter-like planet, a size class that exceeds 4 times Earth's radius, and its radius is 9.21 Earth radii, larger than Earth's.
