Kepler-655 and Its Neptune-Like Planet

Kepler-655 is a star located 2450 light-years away, with a reported mass of 1.15 solar masses, a radius of 1.24 solar radii, and a temperature of 6170 K. It is 3.39 billion years old, and its reported mass, radius, and temperature are all larger or hotter than the Sun's. One planet orbits this host.

That planet is Kepler-655 b, a Neptune-like world discovered in 2016 by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. Its radius is 2.71 Earth radii, larger than Earth's, which places it within the Neptune-like size class. It completes one orbit every 46.4 days.
