Kepler-640 and Its Neptune-Like Planet

Kepler-640 is a star located 1820 light-years away. It is 2.09 billion years old and has 1.01 solar masses, 0.94 solar radii, and a temperature of 5650 K. Its radius estimate is smaller than the Sun's, and its temperature is cooler than the Sun's. One planet orbits this host.

Kepler-640 b is a Neptune-like planet discovered by transit in 2016. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. The planet completes an orbit every 22.2 days and has a radius of 2.56 Earth radii, larger than Earth's.
