Kepler-576 and Its Neptune-like Planet

Kepler-576 is a star located 2010 light-years away, and it hosts one known planet. The star is 4.47 billion years old, has a mass of 0.99 solar masses, a radius of 0.97 solar radii, and a temperature of 5670 K. Its reported temperature is cooler than the Sun's.

The planet Kepler-576 b was discovered in 2016 by the transit method, which detects the small dip in a star's brightness when a planet passes in front of it from our viewpoint. Repeated dips help establish the planet's orbital period. Kepler-576 b completes an orbit every 29.9 days. It is a Neptune-like planet, a size class that reaches 4 times Earth's radius, and its reported radius estimate is 3.27 Earth radii, larger than Earth's.
