Kepler-415 is a star located 1730 light-years away, and two planets have been found orbiting it. The host star is 4.9 billion years old, with a mass of 0.73 solar masses and a radius of 0.7 solar radii. Its temperature is 4590 K, and its reported mass, radius, and temperature are all smaller or cooler than the Sun's.
Both planets were discovered in 2014 by the transit method, which detects the small dip in a star's brightness when a planet passes in front of it from our viewpoint. Kepler-415 b is classified as Earth-like, a size class that keeps a planet within 1.5 times Earth's radius. Its radius is 1.21 Earth radii, larger than Earth's, and its mass is 120 Earth masses, also larger than Earth's. Its mean density is 373 g/cm³, 67.7 times Earth's. Kepler-415 b completes one orbit in 4.18 days, the shortest year among the listed planets.
Kepler-415 c has an orbital period of 8.71 days, the longest year among the listed planets, and no other measurements are reported for it.
