Kepler-410 A and Its Neptune-Like Planet

Kepler-410 A is a star 481 light-years away with a mass of 1.21 solar masses and a radius of 1.35 solar radii. Its reported mass and radius estimates are larger than the Sun's, and its temperature of 6270 K is hotter than the Sun's. The star is 2.76 billion years old. One planet is known to orbit this host.

That planet, Kepler-410 A b, is Neptune-like. It was discovered in 2013 by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. Its radius is 2.84 Earth radii, larger than Earth's, and it completes an orbit every 17.8 days.
