Kepler-333: A Distant Star with Two Earth-Like Planets

Kepler-333 is a star located 1060 light-years away, and two planets have been found orbiting it. The host star is estimated to be 3.24 billion years old, with a mass of 0.66 solar masses and a radius of 0.63 solar radii. Its reported temperature is 4350 K, cooler than the Sun's, and both its mass and radius estimates are smaller than the Sun's.

Both planets were discovered by transit in 2014, meaning they were detected as they passed in front of their star from our viewpoint, causing small dips in observed brightness. Kepler-333 b is classified as Earth-like, with a radius of 1.32 Earth radii and an orbital period of 12.6 days. Kepler-333 c, also Earth-like, has a radius of 1.11 Earth radii and an orbital period of 24.1 days. Among the listed planets, Kepler-333 b has the shortest year and the largest radius, while Kepler-333 c has the longest year and the smallest radius.
