Kepler-323 is a star 1480 light-years away with two known planets. The star is estimated to be 3.02 billion years old, with a reported mass of 1.09 solar masses, a reported radius of 1.12 solar radii, and a temperature of 6080 K. Its reported mass and radius estimates are larger than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is hotter than the Sun's.
Both planets were discovered by transit, the method in which a planet crosses in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness that can repeat and help establish an orbital period. Kepler-323 b and Kepler-323 c were both discovered in 2014.
Kepler-323 b is classified as Earth-like and has a reported upper limit of 3.9 Earth masses. Its radius is 1.38 Earth radii, larger than Earth's, and its orbital period is 1.68 days. Among the listed planets, it has the shortest year by reported estimates and the smallest radius.
Kepler-323 c is classified as a Super-Earth. It has a mass of 6.8 Earth masses, larger than Earth's, and a radius of 1.57 Earth radii, also larger than Earth's. Its orbital period is 3.55 days. Among the listed planets, it has the longest year by reported estimates and the largest radius. Its mean density is 9.68 g/cm³, 1.76 times Earth's.
