Kepler-320 and Its Two Earth-Like Planets

Kepler-320 is a star located 2700 light-years away, and two planets have been found orbiting it. Both are Earth-like worlds, a size class that stays within 1.5 times Earth's radius, and both were discovered by the transit method in 2014, in which a planet passing in front of its star from our viewpoint causes a small dip in observed brightness.

The host star is 2.14 billion years old, with a mass of 1.33 solar masses and a radius of 1.53 solar radii. Its reported temperature is 6450 K. The star's reported mass and radius estimates are larger than the Sun's, and its temperature is hotter than the Sun's.

Kepler-320 b has an orbital period of 8.37 days and a radius of 1.14 Earth radii. Among the listed planets, it has the shortest year and the smallest radius by reported estimates. Kepler-320 c has an orbital period of 17.9 days and a radius of 1.37 Earth radii; among the listed planets, it has the longest year and the largest radius by reported estimates.
