Kepler-313 and Its Two Neptune-like Worlds

Kepler-313 is a star with two planets. The star is estimated to be 6.61 billion years old, with a mass of 1.08 solar masses and a radius of 1.39 solar radii. Its temperature is 5800 K. The star's reported mass estimate is larger than the Sun's, and its reported radius estimate is larger than the Sun's.

Both planets were discovered in 2014 by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. Both are Neptune-like, a size class that reaches 4 times Earth's radius.

Kepler-313 b has an orbital period of 15 days and a radius of 2.53 Earth radii. Its reported radius estimate is larger than Earth's. Among the listed planets, it has the shortest year by reported estimates.

Kepler-313 c has an orbital period of 32.3 days and a radius of 2.57 Earth radii. Its reported radius estimate is larger than Earth's. Among the listed planets, it has the longest year and the largest radius by reported estimates, while Kepler-313 b has the smallest radius by reported estimates.
