Kepler-2000: A Cool Dwarf with Two Known Planets

Kepler-2000 is a star located 1050 light-years away, and it hosts two known planets. The star has a reported mass of 0.59 solar masses, a radius of 0.56 solar radii, and a temperature of 3770 K; its mass, radius, and temperature are each smaller or cooler than the Sun's corresponding values.

Both planets were discovered by the transit method in 2023. Kepler-2000 b is a Neptune-like planet with a radius of 2.73 Earth radii and an orbital period of 6.38 days, the shortest year among the listed planets. Kepler-2000 c is a Super-Earth with a radius of 1.57 Earth radii and an orbital period of 20.6 days, the longest year and the smallest radius among the listed planets. Both planets have radii larger than Earth's.
