Kepler-1993 and Its Jupiter-Like Planet

Kepler-1993 is a star 3370 light-years away with one known planet. The host star is 4.68 billion years old and has a mass of 1.26 solar masses, a radius of 3.02 solar radii, and a temperature of 4970 K. Its reported mass and radius estimates are larger than the Sun's, while its reported temperature is cooler than the Sun's.

The system's only cataloged planet is Kepler-1993 b, a Jupiter-like world discovered by transit in 2023. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness, and repeated dips help establish orbital periods. Kepler-1993 b completes an orbit every 26.7 days. Its radius is 4.15 Earth radii, larger than Earth's. As a Jupiter-like planet, it exceeds four times Earth's radius.
