Kepler-1948 and Its Earth-like Planet

Kepler-1948 is a star 632 light-years away. It is smaller than the Sun in both mass and radius, with a reported mass estimate of 0.531 solar masses and a reported radius estimate of 0.526 solar radii. Its reported temperature is 3840 K, cooler than the Sun's. One planet is known to orbit this host.

That planet is Kepler-1948 b, an Earth-like world discovered in 2021 by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. Repeated dips help establish orbital periods. Kepler-1948 b completes an orbit every 15.6 days. Its reported radius estimate is 1.03 Earth radii, larger than Earth's; this describes its size, not its composition.
