Kepler-1929 and Its Neptune-Like Planet

Kepler-1929 is a star 1660 light-years away with a mass of 1.01 solar masses, a radius of 2.04 solar radii, and a temperature of 5690 K. Its reported radius estimate is larger than the Sun's. One planet is known to orbit this host.

That planet, Kepler-1929 b, is Neptune-like and was discovered by transit in 2021. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. Kepler-1929 b has an orbital period of 59.4 days and a radius of 3.07 Earth radii, larger than Earth's.
