Kepler-1915 and Its Neptune-Like Planet

Kepler-1915 is a star located 4940 light-years away. It has a mass of 1.03 solar masses, a radius of 1.06 solar radii, and a temperature of 6030 K, which is hotter than the Sun's reported temperature. One planet orbits this host.

That planet is Kepler-1915 b, a Neptune-like world discovered in 2021 by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. Kepler-1915 b completes an orbit every 13.8 days, and its radius of 3.22 Earth radii is larger than Earth's. That radius places it within the Neptune-like size class, which extends to 4 times Earth's radius.
