Kepler-1891 b: A Super-Earth in a Four-Day Orbit

Kepler-1891 is a star 1940 light-years away with one known planet. The host star has a reported mass estimate of 0.96 solar masses, a radius estimate of 0.849 solar radii, and a temperature of 5480 K, making it slightly smaller, less massive, and cooler than the Sun.

The system's sole known planet, Kepler-1891 b, is classified as a Super-Earth, a size class that extends to 2.5 times Earth's radius. It was discovered in 2021 by the transit method - detecting the small dip in starlight when a planet crosses in front of its star, with repeated dips establishing its orbital period. That period is 4.02 days, and its radius is 1.52 Earth radii, larger than Earth's.
