Kepler-1853 and Its Super-Earth

Kepler-1853 is a star 1830 light-years away with 0.707 solar masses, 0.732 solar radii, and a temperature of 4930 K. Its reported mass is smaller than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is cooler than the Sun's. One planet orbits this host.

That planet is Kepler-1853 b, a Super-Earth discovered by transit in 2021. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness; repeated dips help establish orbital periods. Kepler-1853 b completes an orbit every 48.9 days. Its radius is 1.52 Earth radii, which is larger than Earth's.
