Kepler-1831 and Its Super-Earth

Kepler-1831 is a star located 3440 light-years away. It has 1.12 solar masses, 1.01 solar radii, and a temperature of 6060 K, which is hotter than the Sun's. One planet is known to orbit it.

That planet is Kepler-1831 b, a Super-Earth discovered by transit in 2021. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. Kepler-1831 b completes an orbit every 5.78 days and has a radius of 1.97 Earth radii, larger than Earth's. The Super-Earth class covers planets reaching 2.5 times Earth's radius, so this measurement places Kepler-1831 b within that size range.
